Special Features

  • Universal mounting possibility - easy to install: Housing mounting or cylindrical hole mounting (mounting cut out: longhole R 19 mm, length 54 mm)

  • Tension sensor with integrated microprocessor controlled measuring amplifier
  • Digital output signal (RS 422) for connecting to a PC by using an adapter (RS 422 - RS 232)
  • Can be connected to PLC controls with digital input
  • Up to max. 32 sensors may be connected in one line
  • Each sensor can individually be addressed and set up
  • Simple connection to BUS-Systems using gateways
  • Easy adjustment to customised material by operator
  • Tension sensor with mechanical overload protection
  • Control lamp shows operative mode availability
  • Wide variety of roller types can be specified
The sensores are equipped with RS 422 interface. All sensors can be easily connected to a PC with COM interface. Therefore is a RS 422 - RS 232 interface converter, necessary available as accessory.

Calibration to customized material:
If process material differs significantly from the SCHMIDT calibration material in diameter, rigidity or shape, special calibration using customer supplied samples is recommended. For this purpose a material sample of about 5 m should be supplied.
